A delegation of four professors from The Council for Educational Administration and Management (CEAM), India visited Samtse College of Education on 5th May 2025, marking a significant step toward strengthening academic ties and collaborative initiatives. The visit commenced with the team attending the morning assembly, offering them insights into the college’s institutional ethos and student engagement strategies.

Following the assembly, a comprehensive interaction was held between the CEAM team and the Samtse College leadership, including Deans and Programme Leaders. The Dean of Academic Affairs and the Dean of Research and Industrial Linkages shared highlights of the college’s academic and research initiatives. The discussion focused on several areas of mutual interest, such as research and resource support, Distance Education programmes, faculty involvement in editorial roles, staff and student exchanges, and cultural collaboration.

Adding value to their visit, the CEAM professors namely Dr. Bobby Mahanta, Dr. Priya Rupam, and Dr. Savita Mishra conducted a seminar for master’s students and faculty members. The seminar covered themes of education, research, and culture, receiving positive feedback from participants for its relevance and depth.

On May 8, the delegation visited the Office of the Vice Chancellor (OVC) at the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) in Thimphu, where they met with Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Rinchen Dorji and the Chief of External Relations Lobzang Nima. They shared the purpose of their visit and explored broader areas of institutional collaboration. The CEAM team departed for home the same evening, expressing appreciation for the productive and warmly received visit to both Samtse College of Education and OVC at Thimphu.
