Spring Semester 2026 Commences with Renewed Commitment
On 10th February 2026, the College re-opened for the Spring Semester in the Jigdrel Pema Chokhorling Hall. The opening ceremony was held in the newly inaugurated hall, which was consecrated during the religious discourse conducted at the College over the winter break.
The programme commenced with a prayer session, followed by the recitation of the sacred Zhabten for His Majesty the King and the lighting of butter lamps, setting an auspicious and reflective tone for the new semester.
The College President shared his vision and strategic priorities for the Spring Semester 2026. He provided guidance in the areas of academic excellence, research development, student affairs, and administrative services, encouraging faculty and staff to align these priorities with their respective work plans. He concluded his address by underscoring the importance of collective reflection and renewed commitment to strengthening teaching, learning, and assessment.
The next two weeks will be dedicated to planning and preparation, providing faculty members with the opportunity to engage in cohesive and collaborative planning across different programmes. This period will enable alignment of course objectives, assessment strategies, and academic activities to ensure coherence, consistency, and quality in the implementation of programmes during the Spring Semester.
The College will also be welcoming the new cohort of PgDE and MEd students, who will be joining the College this semester, contributing to the academic community and engaging in their respective programmes and College life.
