Introduction of UPSHIFT Programme to Undergraduate Students in the College

The UPSHIFT programme was introduced to the Bachelor of Education, both IT Education and English, History, and Geography (B.Ed ITE & B.Ed Eng/His/Geo) and Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) students after the morning assembly on 7th August 2023. UPSHIFT is a global innovation transferable skills-building programme for adolescents and youths, supported and funded by UNICEF Bhutan and Loden Foundation. The implementation of the UPSHIFT programme in the College is a follow-up of the training that Ms. Sonam Zangmo, faculty of Psychology from the Department of Arts and Humanities Education, and Mr. Ugyen Dorji, faculty of Mathematics from the Department of STEM Education attended in the Spring Semester from 29th May to 2nd June 2023 at the College of Science and Technology, Rinchening, Phuentsholing. 

Ms. Sonam Zangmo and Mr. Ugyen Dorji as the Coordinators of the UPSHIFT Programme in the College provided a brief introduction to the programme with a tentative schedule of the activities and informed the interested participants to register within a week. The registration will be completed by the end of this week. The programme will be rolled out from 26th August 2023.
