Bhutan University Sports Federation (BUSF) Qualifiers: Samtse College of Education in a Match with Gedu College of Business Studies

Samtse College of Education (SCE) hosted the BUSF qualifying matches against Gedu College of Business Studies (GCBS) on 4th and 5th October 2025. The event aimed to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendship among member colleges under the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB).

The two-day sporting event showcased a range of activities, including archery, basketball, football, and volleyball, with competitions held for both boys and girls. On the first day, Gedu demonstrated strong performance, emerging victorious in archery, girls’ basketball, and boys’ football. Meanwhile, SCE claimed victory in the girls’ football match, marking a competitive start to the event.

On the second day, the focus shifted to volleyball matches. The SCE girls’ team achieved a notable win against GCBS, demonstrating teamwork and skill on the court. However, the SCE boys’ team faced defeat in their match. The event concluded with mixed results but overall provided an engaging and spirited competition for all participants.

Councilor Kinley Wangdi noted that the overall experience was enriching, emphasizing that such events strengthen unity, confidence, and a healthy sense of competition among students.
