The College Management would like to notify all students of the College that the reporting date of the students for the 2022 Spring Semester has been postponed to a later date until the rise in COVID-19 positive cases in the country reach a plateau. However, all academic programmes and classes will be conducted via Zoom or other online platforms on the scheduled dates given below:
Monday 28th February 2022 : Online classes begin for MEd II & BEd, BA in BASW and PgDCCP students
Monday 28th February & Tuesday 1st March 2022 : Orientation for the new MEd, PgDE and PgDCCP students
Wednesday 2nd March 2022 : Online classes begin for the new MEd, PgDE and PgDCCP students
The decision to begin the Semester with online classes have been made considering the following factors:
1) Consistent spike in COVID-19 positive cases over the last one month in multiple Dzongkhags across the country;
2) Difficulty the students would face in finding quarantine facilities with a huge number of students travelling from the Dzongkhags declared as red zones at this time;
3) Challenges of making transport arrangements during lockdown periods and movement restrictions in most of the affected Dzongkhags; and
4) Risk of further transmission of COVID-19 with the movement of a huge number of students from the red zones to the College.
The College Management requests all students to take note of this change and expect all students as adult learners to be more responsible in taking ownership of your learning and kindly use the intervening period between now and the start date of the Semester to prepare accordingly. The new reporting date to the College shall be notified via email, College website and other social media platforms.
For any further information on academic matters, please contact Mr. Kuenzang Gyeltshen, Dean of Academic Affairs, SCE at 17651308/77651308 or email at kgyeltshen.sce@rub.edu.bt.
Stay safe and follow the COVID-19 safety protocols at all times!
