New Cohort of MEd and PgDE Students Begin Academic Journey at Samtse College of Education
Samtse College of Education warmly welcomed a new cohort of Master of Education (MEd) and Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PgDE) students for the Spring Semester 2026, marking an important milestone in their professional and academic journeys.
The newly enrolled students formally commenced their programmes with a structured registration and orientation process designed to support a smooth transition into postgraduate study. The orientation sessions introduced students to academic expectations, research requirements, institutional policies, and the range of support services available at the College.
MEd students, specialising in Mathematics, Geography, History, English, Physics, and Chemistry, were guided through the research-intensive nature of their programmes, with particular emphasis on scholarly enquiry, academic writing, and professional leadership in education. PgDE students were oriented towards pedagogical practice, reflective teaching, and school-based engagement, reinforcing their preparation as competent and committed educators.
Sessions conducted by the Offices of Academic Affairs, Research and Industrial Linkages, Student Affairs, and the Counselling team provided clarity on academic regulations, research ethics, student wellbeing services, and holistic development opportunities. The programme concluded with campus familiarisation activities, fostering a sense of belonging and collegiality among the new entrants.
As classes commence, the College looks forward to supporting this new cohort in their pursuit of academic excellence, professional growth, and meaningful contributions to the education sector.
