Samtse College of Education Students Compete in 2-Day BUSF Qualifying Tournament at Gedu
From 6th to 7th September 2025, students of Samtse College of Education (SCE) actively participated in the Bhutan University Sports Federation (BUSF) qualifying tournament hosted by Gedu College of Business Studies. The away matches serve as part of the qualification process for the upcoming 10th BUSF Winter games, which will be hosted in December at the College of Natural Resources (CNR).
The SCE delegation competed in archery, football, volleyball, and basketball across both boys’ and girls’ categories. Though many matches ended in defeat, the students exhibited unwavering team spirit, dedication, and a strong representation of the college’s values.

Despite the challenges faced on the field, the students remained positive and continued to uplift one another. The highlight of the tournament was the victory by the girls’ football team, who showcased excellent teamwork and perseverance to secure a well-deserved win. This achievement brought pride and joy to the entire SCE family.
A student from the team shared, “Winning this match was not just about goals, it was about representing our college with pride. We trained hard, and today, it paid off.”
Samtse College of Education community is proud of its students for their participation, determination, and sportsmanship. Their behavior throughout the tournament reflected the true essence of being part of SCE. They continue to inspire future batches to strive not only for academic excellence but also for holistic development through sports and extracurricular activities.
SCE will play its next away qualifying match against the College of Science and Technology on 27 September 2025.
