The much-anticipated Return Show for Autumn Semester 2025 was held on 29th August at the Samtse College of Education auditorium, marking a vibrant celebration of music, dance, and community spirit.
Senior students, faculty, and staff gathered in the evening to witness a lively showcase organized by the first-year students as a gesture of gratitude and reciprocation for the warm welcome they had received at the beginning of their college journey. The programme opened with a welcome speech, followed by an array of cultural and modern performances, including boedra, rigsar, Hindi, and rap. The diversity of performances reflected the energy and enthusiasm of the new batch.
This year’s Return Show was especially significant, as it was the first time that first-year students stepped onto the center stage to share their talents with the college community. Their spirited performances highlighted not only their creativity but also their eagerness to become an active part of campus life.
Seniors expressed their appreciation with Third-year student Jangchk Dorji noting, “The freshers, as a token of thanks and appreciation, put together some delightful performances. Their energy and enthusiasm were truly impressive
Speaking as the officiating president, the Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Ramesh Chhetri remarked, “The Return Show is a wonderful tradition that strengthens our bonds as a college family. It is heartening to see our first-year students come forward with such confidence and talent, setting the tone for a vibrant semester ahead.”
The evening concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by a dinner attended by students and faculty, bringing everyone together. The Return Show not only marked the first stage performance of the new cohort but also reinforced the tradition of building connections across batches at SCE.
