On February 16th, Samtse College had the honour of hosting the revered spiritual leader, Lam Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche. His visit was marked by a solemn blessing ceremony, symbolizing a beacon of spiritual guidance and auspicious beginnings as the institution prepared to embark on its new academic session.

The arrival of Rinpoche elicited profound reverence and anticipation among students, faculty, and staff alike. Rinpoche bestowed Kago upon the entire college community and this gesture represented the bestowal of blessings for prosperity, happiness, and spiritual protection upon all in attendance.

In a statement reflecting on the significance of Rinpoche’s visit, the College President Dr. Rinchen Dorji emphasized the profound timing of receiving blessings as the college commenced its new academic session. He remarked, “The presence and blessings of Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche are a profound honour and privilege. As we embark on this new academic journey, may these blessings serve as a guiding light, inspiring our pursuit of knowledge, wisdom, and service to society.”

Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche’s visit and the subsequent blessing ceremony underscored the convergence of spirituality and academia. This provided students, faculty, and staff with a moment of introspection and inspiration as they embarked on their educational endeavors. The event served as a poignant reminder of the significance of mindfulness and spiritual guidance in the pursuit of academic and personal growth.
