The College held the Annual Graduation and Award Ceremony for the graduating M.Ed and PgDE students on 30th November 2022. The ceremony was graced by Dasho Nidup Dorji, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor as the Guest of Honour along with officials from The Office of the Vice Chancellor and Presidents from other RUB sisters colleges.

The VC, Dasho Nidup Dorji, in his introductory remarks, reminded the graduates that the journey they embark on as teachers today is a learning journey that never ends. He reminded the graduates to uphold their sacred responsibility in the face of the transformative reconceptualisation of the education system.

Along with certificates for students’ leadership and other services to the College, Certificates for Academic Excellence in their respective subjects were also awarded to the graduating students. Dorji Gyeltshen from PgDE C was awarded the President Award, one of the highest awards for the College. Unsurprisingly, Yeshey Choden, the Youtube singer and recent winner of Samuh OTT award for Best Playback singer, won the award for the College Best Performing Artist (female), while Kinga Dorji from MEd Science won the merit for the same.

The ceremony was interburst with cultural items presented by other students. Prakiti Pradhan in her farewell speech reminisced about the support provided by the College from the day of their arrival at the College. She stated that having undertaken the programme during the COVID lockdown, she felt supported throughout her entire post-graduate journey.

A total of 242 students graduated from the College, which comprises 130 PgDE, 71 MEd and 34 PgDCCP and 7 PgCert students. The students were felicitated with Tashi Khadars by the College.
