Award of Medals for Dedicated Service
In a modest ceremony, the faculty and staff of the College were awarded the service medals for dedicated service.
The ceremony began with an offering of Marchang Ceremony, followed by the reading of the Royal Civil Service Commission’s message to the medal recipients by the President of the College and then the award of medals.
Madam Dechen Doma, Senior Lecturer in Contemplative Counselling and Psychology, who received the Gold Medal expressed, “I feel honoured and humbled to receive this award and will serve the nation to the best of my abilities. Also remain ever grateful to His Majesty The King for this recognition”.
Another faculty, Miss. Sonam Zangmo, a Lecturer in Educational Psychology, who received a bronze medal for completion of 10 years of service shared, “I feel honoured, motivated and happy and would like to thank His Majesty The King and the Royal Government of Bhutan for this recognition”.
A total of nine college staff were awarded the medals – six in ten years category, two in twenty years category and one above thirty years of dedicated service to the Tsa-wa-sum. The ceremony concluded with serving a light refreshment to all the faculty and staff of the College.
