College Annual Sports Day
Samtse College held annual Sport day on 26th October. Chief Dzongkhag Education Officer of Samtse was the guest of honor for the event.
The event was conducted to give platform for students to showcase their talents and to keep themselves physically, spiritually and socially healthy. The guest of honor expressed the importance of taking up such opportunities and participating in physical events when the world around is challenged by digitilization. The annual sport competition among the Collaborative Groups begin by lighting the Olympic torch followed by ranging categories of athletic events.
The day kept the participants excited and awaited with series of lucky draw and lottery draws which were coordinated by the College students. There were several games for the guests in between, which kept them equally engaged. The winners of the events were awarded certificates and trophies by the College. The day ended by awarding prizes for the best collaborative groups which was carried off by Tsadurba CG with highest total score. The College held such event annually to promote physical well being and to be of recreation for students who have to dedicate majority of their time in College to studies.
