Philosophy of teaching and learning:

  • Teaching is a lifelong process of learning. It provides an opportunity to learn new strategies, new ideas, and new philosophies. As a teacher it is important to create safe, caring community where student are free to express their views and grow to become a responsible citizens. The teacher is responsible for assisting each student to develop their own potential and learning styles.
  • Every classroom has its own unique community and it is important to incorporate hands-on learning, cooperative learning, projects, and individual work that engage and activate students learning in order to cater to diverse needs of the learners.

  • MA in Geography from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, India (2003).
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education from National Institute of Education, Samtse, Bhutan (2000).
  • BA with Honours in Geography from Sherubtse College, Kanglung, Bhutan, affiliated to University of Delhi, India (1999)
