Philosophy of teaching and learning:

Aeschylus said that, “… the whole purpose of education is to tame the savageness of mankind and make gentle this life”. This quote is the focus of my teaching and learning philosophy. I would also like to believe in the idea of “I do, We do, You do’’. I expect my students to not just rely on learning only from their teacher, but to know that the teaching/learning process is a recursive process, rather than a linear process.

Academic/Educational Qualification:

1. M.Ed in Language & Literacy. 2. PGCE. 3. BA (English Hons)

Professional experience:

Developed modules for M.Ed in English Studies; Developed resource package for Effective for Teachers, Facilitated workshop on Teaching of Shakespeare, Deputation Duty at Gaeddu College of Business Studies; Facilitator/ Tutor for PGDE, Sherubtse College; Participant in the Revision of the Secondary School English Curriculum

Current responsibilities:

Teaching English Language modules; ENG 203 (Grammar in Context ), ENG 204 (Secondary School English Curriculum), Chairperson of PBEM (B.ED Primary), member in the B.Ed Secondary Programme.

Membership in External Bodies:

Core member of EECST, member REC , resource person for the revision of the secondary school English Curriculum
