Philosophy of teaching and learning:

My philosophy of teaching and learning is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Additionally, I believe that a teacher should be a guide by the side and not a sage on stage.


Academic/Educational Qualification:

  • Doctor of Philosophy: University of New England, Australia
  • MEd in Curriculum Studies: University of New Brunswick, Canada
  • Bachelors in Education: Samtse College of Education

Professional experience:

  • Lecturer at Samtse College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan since 2013
  • Lecturer at Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan from 2010-2012
  • Worked as a teacher for 13 years both in the primary, middle secondary and higher secondary schools
  • Developed C4D materials for UNICEF
  • Writer for the English Curriculum (Class PP-IV) for Bhutan
  • Conducted workshops at the school and national levels on English curriculum

 Current responsibilities:

  • Teaching of English II- ENE 502
