Philosophy of work

My work ethic as an Assistant student services officer is based on empathy, honesty, and self-determination. In order for students to feel heard, respected, and prepared to overcome obstacles and realize their full potential, I work to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment. I want to encourage holistic development by assisting students in taking charge of their own paths and creating a lively campus community based on respect and cooperation through open communication and moral leadership. I strive to fulfill students’ changing needs, enabling them to thrive intellectually and personally while preparing them to make significant contributions to society. I am dedicated to professionalism and lifelong learning.

Academic/Educational Qualification

  • Degree: Bcom, Finance from Gedu College Of Business Studies
  • XII: Commerce from Ugyen Academy
  • X: Economics from Yangchenphug Higher secondary school

Professional Experiences

I’m currently serving as an assistant student services officer in Samtse college Of Education

  • Look after the welfare and care of the students for the designated residential areas/hostels under the guidance of dean of student affairs.
  • Contribute to providing a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for living and learning; in particular, shaping a high quality residential experience for student in the collage;
  • Assist in inducting new students to hostels and familiarizing them to students rules, regulations, common norms and standards in the hostels.
  • Assist in coordinating with the academic advisor to monitor and support students learning;
  • Assist in managing and administering student affairs for the given residential area including record keeping;
  • Listen to students problems and help them to find resolution where relevant and refer students to appropriate services such as student support, disability services, counseling, medical services, management etc;
  • Manage hostel facilities and its surroundings  in terms of cleanliness and upkeep of the facilities;
  • Coordinates and support students activities for the hostels related to social and community services, literary activities, social engagement and other useful events:; and
  • Any other tasks as maybe assigned form time to time.

Interest

I enjoy reading, helping students, and volunteering for social causes. I have an inquisitive nature and am always excited to learn, particularly in areas related to my professional role.
