Samtse College of Education Celebrates 15th Coronation of Fifth King with Solemn Prayer Ceremony

On a day of profound significance, Samtse College of Education commemorated the 15th Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck, the revered Fifth King of Bhutan. This momentous occasion was marked by a harmonious blend of celebration, reflection, and reverence for a monarch deeply devoted to the nation’s well-being.

The day’s festivities commenced with the first rays of the sun gracing the picturesque surroundings of Samtse College of Education. In a solemn gathering, the College President, esteemed faculty members, and dedicated students gathered at the college’s prayer hall at 7:50 AM, to offer their sincere gratitude and for continued longevity.

A pivotal and spiritually significant aspect of the day was a prayer ceremony, meticulously organized by students and faculty members. This profound ceremony, held within the tranquil confines of the prayer hall, bore testimony to the collective reverence and heartfelt prayers offered for the enduring health, longevity, and continued prosperity of His Majesty, the Fifth King.

The prayer ceremony unfolded with utmost reverence, featuring the recitation of sacred texts and the illumination of 108 butter lamps. Each prayer was performed with the utmost dedication, invoking blessings not only for His Majesty’s continued prosperity but also for the enduring welfare of the entire Bhutanese nation.

The 15th Coronation Anniversary transcended mere festivity; it was a day that underscored unity and unwavering devotion. The participants not only showcased their reverence but also personified the profound spirituality that is integral to the tapestry of Bhutanese society.

As the echoes of the prayer ceremony reverberated, participants and onlookers alike were left with a profound sense of gratitude and unity. The event’s culmination saw warm wishes for the nation’s future under the wise and compassionate leadership of His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck.

This 15th Coronation Anniversary celebration will remain etched in the hearts of the Bhutanese people as a testament to the enduring values of tradition, spirituality, and unity.
