Educational Excursion: Sang-Ngag-Choeling LSS Students Visit Samtse College of Education

In an effort to broaden horizons and inspire their academic journey, a group of 47 grade eight students of Sang-Ngag-Chhoeling (Chargharey) Lower Secondary School, accompanied by four dedicated teachers, visited Samtse College of Education on an educational excursion on October 18, 2023.The main objective of this excursion was to expose the students to the college environment and its facilities, in the hopes of motivating and encouraging them to consider higher education as a pathway towards leading constructive and meaningful lives.

While at the college, the Dean of Academic Affairs introduced them to the courses offered by the College. This was followed by a visit to various facilities, including classrooms, computer labs, the library, the science laboratory, and the hostels. They also had a brief mindfulness practice session facilitated by Mr. Karma Gayphel, a faculty member from the Counseling Department. The visit concluded with a hearty lunch served at the College Mess, where students and escort teachers shared their experiences and newfound aspirations. This excursion served as a valuable opportunity for the College and the School to foster collaboration and mutual engagement.
