As part of the Connected Learning for Teacher Capacity Building in STEM (CL4STEM) project, funded by the International Research Development Centre (IDRC), Canada,  Samtse College of Education (SCE) has carried out a  Situation Analysis Study (SAS) aimed at understanding the current state of STEM Education in five Dzongkhags – Samtse, Thimphu, Paro, Zhemgang, and Trashigang. The study primarily examined STEM Education in terms of STEM teachers and teacher educators’ competencies, continuous professional development programmes specific to STEM education, STEM Curriculum, integration of ICT in promotion of technology-enabled teaching and learning of STEM subjects, ICT infrastructure in the schools, gender and inclusion in STEM education.

Invitees include the Director General of the Department of School Education, Ministry of Education (MOE), the Director of Department of Curriculum and Professional Development, relevant Chiefs of the different divisions of MoE, Dzongkhag and Thromde Chief Education Officers, as well as Principals from participating schools.
