Samtse College of Education is pleased to announce the intake of private school teachers for admission into the Post Graduate Diploma in Education programme (PGDE) for the academic year 2019-2020. A total of 30 candidates will be selected for the programme in the second week of November, 2018 and the result will be published in the college website.
Entrance Requirements for the Programme
For entry into the programme, a candidate must fulfill the following academic criteria:

Private schools will submit a list of candidates who fulfill the above criteria along with a Letter of Recommendation (from the Principal) and Academic Transcripts of Class XII and Bachelor’s Degrees to the Programme Leader by email with a copy to the Dean of Academic Affairs, SCE, on or before 31 October 2018. The nominations received from the schools will then be merit ranked by the College according to the following criteria:
Class XII: 30%
A candidate with qualification above Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Masters, PhDs) will be given an additional 5 points.
It is expected that the class size for each subject of specialization (see Table above) is a minimum of 5 candidates. The College may decide not to offer the specialization if this number is not met.
