{"id":13288,"date":"2021-12-08T15:18:48","date_gmt":"2021-12-08T09:18:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sce.edu.bt\/?p=13288"},"modified":"2021-12-08T15:18:50","modified_gmt":"2021-12-08T09:18:50","slug":"b-ed-final-year-students-attend-7-day-scout-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sce.edu.bt\/?p=13288","title":{"rendered":"B.Ed Final Year Students Attend 7-Day Scout Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The College Management in collaboration with Samtse Dzongkhag Scout Association conducted a Basic Unit Leaders Training (BULT) from the 1<sup>st<\/sup> to the 7<sup>th<\/sup> of December, 2021. The BULT course was offered to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) final year students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe main goal of this program is to teach about the scouting program\u2019s perspective, promote scouting, and make youth more productive via the use of the correct program.\u201d Furthermore, this curriculum fulfils His Majesty\u2019s objective of making Bhutanese youth more productive,\u201d stated Kinzang Wangchuk, Course Director.<\/p>\n<p>Some participants shared that the BULT program provided them with life skills. Deki Wangmo of B.Ed Arts A said,\u00a0 \u201cI think the BULT program was meaningful since we gained numerous skills and the skill that was taught to us is important in our daily life.\u201d Similarly, several attendees expressed that before attending the BULT program, they had a different perspective on scouting. \u201cI thought scouting was all about giving social service to the community and school, but after attending the program, I found it different, and it helped me to develop myself, \u00a0build teamwork, and lashing skills, which I think are very important while venturing in the jungle\u201d Sonam Chojay said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI could see lots of changes in the trainees, for example, in the beginning, they had a narrow concept of scouting, many were not punctual and were poor in smartness and good order, but as the training progressed they gradually improved and now they are fit to be the scout leaders in school,\u201d said Ratan Rai, Assistant Course Leader.<\/p>\n<p>The BULT was conducted on the campus in a self-contained mode and was funded by the College. A total of 188 students completed the course.
