Under the auspices of the college committee for Cultural Immersion and Education, students belonging to the Hindu community organized and celebrated Diwali- the Festival of Lights.

The celebration started at 5:30 pm with Mr. Amrit Sharma of Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (Pg Cert in HE) delivering a heart touching welcome speech. He also shared a lot of historical and spiritual significance of the Diwali celebration.

In the celebration, all the faculty, staff and students of the college joined the most awaited celebration. They all received blessings from Goddess Saraswati and tika from the Pandit. It was followed by chanting devotional songs and a few cultural performances.

According to one of the organizers, Mr Deagendra Acharya of 4th Year Arts A, ‘the program and the celebration went as it was planned and that he is happy to see the beautiful smiles on the faces of the college family.’ He also wishes everyone happiness and prosperity.

Kabita Powdel of Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) 2nd Year student shared, ‘I am very happy and feel blessed to celebrate one of the great festivals with my friends.’ Although away from home and yet she felt at home after receiving the blessing from the pandit, she added.
