Tarayana Club Organizes Open Football and Volleyball League

Tarayana club in the College organized an open football and volleyball league in the college. The league ended with a final football match between B. Ed secondary final year Science ‘A’ and B.Ed final year Arts ‘A’ on 14th April. The championship cup was won by B.Ed final year Arts ‘A’ with four goals against three goals. Winning team received Nu.5,500 and runner up received Nu.3,500 with trophies.

Taranaya club organized championship cup tournament with the objective to engage and entertain the students in the College. They organized football for men and volleyball for women which kicked off from 25th March. Five teams of female took part in the volleyball league and BA in Social Work first year won the match played against B.Ed. Secondary final year Arts ‘B’. Cash prize of Nu. 1,500 for winning team and Nu. 1,000 for runners up were awarded on 3rd April coinciding with Street Show event. The cash prize was sponsored by JK Furniture House of Samtse.

Club coordinator Phusum Wangdi said, “The game is a success story of our club and I am also happy and satisfied with the support rendered by all the fellow mates.” College staff and students gathered to witness the match.
