Admission Announcement for PgDCCP and MACCP for Private Candidates

PART-TIME PROGRAMME IN PgDCCP AND MACCP FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES

Samtse College of Education is pleased to announce the intake of private candidates for Postgraduate Diploma in Contemplative Counselling Psychology (PgDCCP) and Master of Arts in Contemplative Counselling Psychology (MACCP) programmes for the year 2018-2019.

Entrance Requirements for the Programme

For entry into the programme, a candidate must fulfill the criteria outlined against each programme:

  1. Postgraduate Diploma in Contemplative Counselling Psychology (PgDCCP) part-time Programme:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from any background with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
  • Demonstrate the aptitude and professional maturity to take up this programme as assessed through the interview.
  • Produce a detailed CV and all relevant academic transcripts from class XII and above.
  • Produce relevant documents like Citizenship Identity Card, valid security clearance and duly filled application form.
  • Assurance of ability to fund tuition fees.
  1. 4-year Master of Arts in Contemplative Counselling Psychology (MACCP) part-time Programme:
  •  Bachelor’s Degree from any background with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
  •  Demonstrate the aptitude and professional maturity to take up this programme as assessed through the interview.
  • Produce a detailed CV and all relevant academic transcripts from class XII and above.
  • Produce relevant documents like Citizenship Identity Card, valid security clearance and duly filled application form.
  • Assurance of ability to fund tuition fees.

Note:  4 – year MACCP programme is for candidates who do not already have a PgDGC/Diploma in Counselling award.

  1. 2 – year Master of Arts in Contemplative Counselling Psychology (MACCP) part-time Programme:
  • Have a minimum of a PgDGC  with a minimum of 50% aggregate, or a Bachelors in clinical counselling with 50% aggregate or an undergraduate qualification in Psychology or Social Work or equivalent Pg Diploma qualification
  • Demonstrate the aptitude and professional maturity to take up this programme as assessed through the interview
  • Produce detailed CV and all relevant academic transcripts from class XII and above.
  • Produce relevant documents like Citizenship Identity Card, valid securit clearance and duly filled application form.
  • Assurance of ability to fund tuition fees

Note:  2-year MACCP programme is for candidates who do already have a PgDGC/Diploma in Counselling award.

Private candidates interested to join the programme must submit all the required documents along with the Application form Download Here to the Programme Leader by email with a copy to the Dean of Academic Affairs, SCE, on or before 2 December 2018:

Programme commencement

The programme will commence in the last week of December 2018 which will be communicated to the selected candidates.
