I started teaching as an untrained teacher in 1976 at the then Goshi Jr. High school. By the second year of my teaching I was nominated to undergo teacher training at Mt. Hermon College of education, Darjeeling for two years. When I graduated from the college I was posted to Teacher Training Centre & Demonstration School Paro. After teaching for two years in the Demonstration School I was promoted as a lecturer to teach in the Teacher Training section. Six years later, I took up studies at the University of New Brunswick, Canada and graduated with a Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction.

On my return from the studies I took over as the principal of TTC & DS in 1989. Ever since then I worked in the managerial position in the same college till 2008. In March 2008 I asked for a transfer to Samtse College of Education. I was granted the transfer as a Sr. lecturer. After joining this college I have been involved in teaching mostly Professional Modules to B.Ed and PgDE courses and occasionally in conducting staff development programs.

- M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction.
