Teaching experience:

• Taught English in the primary teachers’ training course (PTTC) trainees till 2000. I gained a lot of experience in primary education.
• Designed English syllabuses consulting syllabuses from similar colleges. Got full experience in curriculum designing and publishing.
• Have taught almost all the elective English and English for Communication in the B. Ed and the PGCE/PgDE elective English.
• Have taught Teaching Skills and Teaching Strategies in the B. Ed and the PGCE/PgDE programmes.
• Supervised teaching practice almost yearly from 1982 till date.
• Conducted B. Ed and PGCE admission interviews for many years.
• Taught DE candidates during the summer and winter residential schools.

B. A. (1977) with English, Economics and Political Science from Punjab University, Chandigarh, India

M. A. (1981) in English Literature (from Chaucer to modern literature) from Department of English, Punjab University, Chandigarh

B. Ed (1979) from Government College of Education, Pubjab University, Chandigarh with teaching English, History and Geography, Educational Psychology, School Organisation, Modern Education, Indian Education System, and other teaching-oriented topics.

Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) with teaching skills and strategies in teaching English, Teaching Grammar, Sociolinguistics, Psycholinguistics and practical teaching from Brighton Polytechnic, Falmer, Sussex, England. I attended the International Association of Teaching English programme in Brighton, and educational tours of London, Oxford, Cambridge, Wales, Stratford-upon- Avon, Edinburgh, Bath, Stonehenge and other places.
