The department of English looks after the English modules offered in all the three programmes: Post graduate Diploma in Education (PgDE), B. Ed secondary and B. Ed primary. The Department caters to two Teaching of English modules in PgDE, ten English elective modules in B. Ed secondary English elective student-teachers and two Teaching of English modules in B. Ed primary programme. The department will continue to deliver two Teaching of English modules for the B. Ed primary until 3-year B. Ed is phased out in 2012 and fully replaced by 4-year B. Ed in which the department delivers five modules pertaining to primary English. The present ten modules of elective English are being considered for alignment with the school curriculum and will be ready by the end of 2009.

English modules offered at the college Post-graduate Diploma in Education:
