2. Design (whenever needed) and manage a physics laboratory in secondary schools.

Title of the module: Thermodynamics in Chemistry and Chemical Kinetics

By the end of the module the student teacher will have deep understanding of:
i. The energy exchange between the system and surrounding
ii. Why some processes are spontaneous while others are not
iii. Rate and order of the reactions chemical kinetics and the factors which influence them.

This module is designed to
i. Prepare student teachers who will be able to put forward the concepts and ideas of chemistry so that students will not only be able to understand but use it in their day to day lives.
ii. Design (whenever needed) and manage a chemistry laboratory in secondary schools.
iii. Make our student teachers understand our National Policy on Science.

Title of the module: Plant Morphology & Physiology

This module aims at equipping the biology student teacher with the knowledge and understanding of:
i. plant morphology,
ii. anatomy and
iii. physiology.

Title of the module: Immunology and Microbiology

Code: BIO 3307

This module aims to provide the biology student teachers with the knowledge and understanding of:
i. structures and mechanisms of immune system,
ii. regulatory procedures for manipulating the immune response,
iii. important and the dominant roles the microbes play-in industry and agriculture, combating of diseases, and the structural diversity of microbes.
iv. micro-organisms, diseases and control of micro organisms.

This module is designed to help our trainee teachers to
? Develop full understanding of the subject magnetism and electromagnetism
? Teach the subject matter effectively in schools in Bhutan.
? Apply the knowledge of magnetism and electromagnetism in their day to day life.
