i. Why do atoms of different elements react?
ii. What are the forces that hold atoms together in molecules and ions
in ionic compounds?
iii. What shapes do they assume? The concepts like hybridization,
iv. Valence shell electron pair repulsion (VSEPR) theory and redox reactions
are also dealt here.

main aim of the module is to equip the biology student teachers with the

i. the fundamentals of systematic botany (Plant Taxonomy)
ii. aims and objectives of classification,
iii. principles and the systems of classification,
iv. diversity of the plant kingdom.
v. recognizing important plant families in the floral composition of Bhutan.
